I just got in from taking the compost out to the heap… and stopping for a while to look for Perseid meteors. (I saw at least three, one a magnitude-0 bright one).
John VinsonI drove out of town at 3:00 this morning to get a bit of darkness. As I left the car, a minus magnitude traveling over 50° of the sky, trailing twinkly fragments. I have been clouded out for the last six years. It was great to see our galaxy again, so bright I could barely make out Cassiopeia in the brightness even though I see it on any clear bright in town.

Why is their trash can so incredibly far from the house?
