I don’t have ZOOM. I had wondered how much work it took to set something like this up.

MeeMaw is the best. And the kiddies will be happy with her reading to them.

My Dad has actually been volunteering for the last few years at my niece and nephew’s elementary school – and has evidently become something a class favorite with my nephew’s classmates – to the point where my nephew said that he had to “grow up” and be willing to “share” his grandpa with his friends.

I got to help the first-graders paint an American flag on a big white sheet. That was fun, besides a little messy.

I did not think that these days adults are allowed in the school other than for pickup, drop off, and meetings with school for safety reasons – by these days I mean in current years not since stay at home only.

My reenactment unit used to do some events at schools for classes (imagine having the same talks over and over with 8th grade students every 45 minutes for an entire day of school – especially dealing with giggling 8th grade girls figuring out that I was saying (without actually saying, as I was my 18th century else and had never heard of either) that women did not wear bras or panties.

Unit has does not any events in schools for years, but have done some events outside of schools military related (muskets, rifles, fowlers, cannon firings). I had figured that they did not let adults in schools any longer during the day.
