I recall the first time I ever saw one of those things. It was New Years Eve – of 1999, in Monterey, California. It was pretty cool back then. New, ingenious, creative. No longer. Now it’s just a limp sock tied to the ground. Or in this case, secured to a moving vehicle. But still just a limp sock.
