That is not a misnomer. Since rhinoceroses have only one horn, they are technically “unicorns”, and were called as such until someone decided “rhinoceros” (nose-horn) was better.

Speaking as an engineer (with a strong science background), I’ve got to say that if perception is reality, then you need to be really thorough and careful how you go about doing the perceiving.

Better watch out for Brother Platypus to make his appearance…

Well, then there must be life after death, since otherwise it would not be possible for a person to perceive that (s)he was dead, and so (s)he could not in reality be dead.

There are more things in heaven and Earth, beyond your perception. It didn’t start moving because Galileo noticed.

Yesterday a housemate was telling me he didn’t like the stick kind of asparagus. Just the soft kind. He’s not exactly the sharpest knife in the draw.
