Stringing them along

This cartoon seems bizarre to me. Why would the clouds be on kite strings?

I too always got strung out playing hide and seek.

Lemme guess the guy holding the kite named Ben?

We never played hide-and-go-seek with balls of string in our pockets. Sure would’ve made the games go by quicker!

I’ve looked at clouds from both sides now.
