Then an oriental genie? What a surprise!

I feel sorry for the genie in that he has been in that lamp for thousands of years waiting to be released and just when he goes to take a bathroom break, he gets the rub. Now he is going to be in a surly mood, which can’t be good.

I prefer Barbara Eden.

I’ve got a feeling that Genie is gonna be like the one from the Bugs Bunny cartoon “A Lad in His Lamp”.
