Paleontologists have been surprised to find that crab-like creature have been produced by evolution repeatedly over the eons. Even evolutionary simulations tend toward crabs. No one has figured out a reason for this, so far.

When I go to a seafood restaurant, I order crabs. Eating them improves my disposition.
