Even the alien can’t help but feel sorry for the humans.

They don’t communicate directly with each other if they can help it.

Why assume in panel 2 that they’re communicating with each other? Even an alien from space should understand that.

I use my phone to contact others to arrange to meet up and sit and talk.

I don’t even always carry my phone with me. I have what we used to call a life and it includes going to many areas out of cellphone range.

I have left home and come right back for my phone, it does have my ICE – In Case of Emergency contacts there and nowhere else.

Yes, but usually only to acquire food, or argue about politics. Sometimes both. They call that, “Thanksgiving.”

Some of us never had the gift of gab. And the new ways of communication aren’t much help.

Sad but true …. :)

I call when can’t find who I am supposed to meet, usually to find them right behind me.
