I drove a car like that—the family Country Sedan. It was the best reason in the world that my own first car was a ’66 VW Beetle that I kept for 21 years.

Most cars were like that back in the day, mechanics drove them more than owners.

Never buy a mechanic’s car. They are harder on a vehicle than anyone else, because the know that if something breaks, they can fix it. Also, you never see a mechanic driving a brand new car. They all drive junkers !

My mechanic is the richest guy in town and always has a New Ford F-150 to pull his big bass boat.

In the late ‘90s, a young guy at work was having some car trouble and said "they don’t make them like they used to." at which point I jumped up and yelled “thank god”.I have worked on a car all night just so I could drive to work the next day.
