Getting my oldest grandson ( now 22 ) to read a book was always a struggle but my younger ones are all avid readers – even the 6 year old.
My step-grandkids are encouraged to read by their parents and are limited on their amount of television and computer time. That I think, aside from cultural differences, is the reason they read more.
