I wonder how much money the combined democratic candidates have spent on their campaigns. A LOT to be sure. Just think how much good that money could have done elsewhere.
Perfect example of the shortness of public memory. In 2016, the reps fielded 17 + supremely unqualified candidates. The debates were an embarrassment displaying the dirth of ideas and knowledge in the republican party. I’m pleased to see the plethora of ideas, the depth of knowledge and expertise, and the energy and enthusiasm of the Democratic candidates.
Did you all know that the Presidential debates are no longer run by a non-partisan group? It’s run by a committee made up ONLY of Democrats and Republicans. That’s why even large “third parties” like the Libertarians are never invited to participate.
I hate to throw a wrench in the works, but here goes. I’m not casting asparagus at anyone here. I’m involved in politics at the end point of the game. I’m an election judge. Having said that, I can’t publicly have or express any preferences. But what I see at the polls is the biggest crime that Americans commit on themselves. They Don’t Vote! ! ! Our typical turnout for a regular (non-primary) election is about 30%. If you vote regularly, thanks and congratulations – I like being busy at that on election day. If you DO NOT VOTE, you are giving up one of one of America’s most precious rights, and abdicate your right to complain about whichever politician you do don’t like.

And they still make more sense than some

A brain is a handicap in politics because there’s always a chance there may be a conscience attached to it.

Ah, highlights from the recent debate (yes, this has become a running gag with me and I’m not going to quit!)

I thought that people were worried about climate change? Looks to me like a lot of useless hot-air being produced that does nothing.

Most politicians are hoping their money will talk in place of brains.

And realised politicians and journalists have something in common….

Actually, it’s the so-called journalist who are the primary. brainless talkers. Politicians are just a close 2nd.

Gee, I wonder who the foul-mouthed one is? Or should that be fowl-mouthed?

People vote for the candidate with sincerity and compassion. Once you can fake that, you have it made.

It’s the people who vote for these candidates who have the least common sense.

Personally, I think it is funnier, and more accurate, if you leave the politicians out of the cartoon altogether.

Have the original Wizard of OZ book read to me when I was 4 in 1940. Saw the movie years later, not as impressive as the book!

Actually turn that around. It seems more journalists are lacking brains and just go with the status quo instead of researching the truth.

Journalists go after the truth; politicians go after money. Cept for Breitbarf; they go after what sells!
