It’s been a long time since my cat passed away but there was something in a tube, kinda caramel color and I wound put it on my finger. He would lap it up and it did prevent hairballs.I am sorry that I can’t remember the name but I bet someone at your local pet store would know what it is.
My poor Cuda would always get hairballs in spite of hairball food and daily laxatone. She was a compulsive groomer and would groom everybody, both of the other cats and us. Her sister, Hemi, never got hairballs in spite of her excessive fluffiness. She has always been a “soap licker”. She insists on getting on the bathroom sink and lick soap. She will only lick plain soap, nothing fragranced, so we keep a bar of Neutrogena out for her. It must help, she is 15 now and in perfect health (poor Cuda died last October 15th). I hope her health stays good for a few more years, I can’t bear to lose another kitty yet.

It does look suspicious but the bunny was dozing right next to the snowball and should not have been assuming the worst.

Or not to sneeze next to a snowball.

I wish my cats would cough up snowballs instead of hairballs…way easier to clean up!
