It’s an oxymoron. He’s expecting locally hand-crafted versions of central-factory-mass-produced products with the same trademarked name.

I just want to know why art is anal?

I prefer the free range pop tarts.

They are called crepes. You make them at home and then wonder how food companies pass off all this premade crap on the public.

Having been set up by a previous comic or two about artisan offerings and a real news article about artisan cottage cheese, this cracked me up out of all proportion, though it is really good on its own.Randy_B, from the Wikipedia entry for toaster pastry: "Toaster pastries are frequently referred to as “poptarts”, a genericized trademark of Kellogg’s original name brand Pop-Tarts."And having now browsed the results of a Google Search for toaster pastry recipes, I’d have to say they actually exits in artisan form.

And i always thought that a pop tart was one of those semi-naked grirls writhing on stage and caterwauling into a microphone. But what do I know?

What about equal time for Mom-Tarts?

Yum!

I buy the frozen ones, my kids think I do a wonderful job drawing on them with the little pack of frosting. They love our “artisan” tarts.
