I once used my birthstone ring and put it on my “wedding band finger”. There was this annoying drunk guy at the bar who wouldn’t leave me alone. Told him I was engaged. It worked, thankfully. Also had a guy I dated for a bit who wouldn’t stop, emailing, calling, texting, etc. One day, I texted him “Hey, this is the new man in her life. You need to quit bugging her, buddy. She’s moved on!”. I was getting desperate. He believed it! Argued back one last text, but never bugged me after that. ;)
