I’d hate being Max’s mother.

I think we all feel that way sometimes, Joan. When we were kids we wanted the privileges of being grown up but when we grow up we don’t want all the responsibilities of being grown up!

How would you know?

Then Joan WHY did you get ‘involved’ with Leon and have a child, if you dislike being a ‘grown-up’ ?

That may be universal, Joan. But no one will admit it.

This has nothing to do with Leon. She’s saying that while she’s interested in Wally, her logical adult brain knows that this is not the best idea right now. Even though he’s dating Susan.

Sorry, but you still aren’t a grown up. You have more issues than Reader’s Digest.

She doesn’t want to date Wally right now, but she doesn’t want Him dating either.

Joan finds out Wally is far better then Leon.
