I just don’t get it

King is going for a knight cappa?

Maybe he’s the BLACK Knight !!!

Folks, the ( intended ) humour here is supposedly in the situation itself, the informal nature of the king’s question, etc. It’s not supposed to be connected to a punch-line or gag type of situation.

When I detour into this sort of territory, i’m attempting to pull off a sort of free-form wackiness like the marvelous cartoon panel ” Ballard Street” does so well.

I don’t do it consistently enough, though, so that’s where it tends to be baffling to people.

Wow, no one here gets it either. No one at comics.com does, either.

I’ll have a double cheese Whopper, extra large fries, and a diet Coke (I’m watching my weight.)

I understood it right from the beginning. The king is asking him what kind of knight he takes.
