Am I the only one here old enough to remember logarithm tables? Remember doing “multiplication” and “exponentiation” with them?
Then there was a device that had two logarithmic scales lined up against each other so one could slide along against the other. It was affectionately called a “slip stick” but better known as a slide rule and only a real old timer called it “Napier’s Bones.” I can still remember how to use mine.
