I’m with Morbis, that guys too friendly. Must be a spin-off from the previous town.

I’m somewhat expecting this to be like that scene in The Empire Strikes Back when Darth Vader is at the head of the table raising his glass.

Panel 1—the welcoming villager looks like the tycoon on the Monopoly box.

Hello everyone!! I wanted to mention that this is the first time some strips have run out of order—I swapped one story out with this one so that we could enjoy the Swan Eaters Christmas special (yup! Of course!) in December! The story I swapped out will appear in January or February and hopefully will not affect this one. I hope you’ll enjoy December’s tale!

Funny, Olwen was just recently getting onto Morbius for not taking the war seriously and seeing the threat approaching. Here she is taking this man at his word, not seeing a possible threat. I hope for their sake she’s right. Not sure I really trust him though. He reminds me too much of a certain Nazi with the Medusa stare, maybe using magic to disguise himself.

On a different note, the snow in the strip is all too timely for me. Over a foot of snow yesterday and last night with gentle snow today. Thank god the snow blower’s working this year and don’t have rely on the little, plug in electric snow thrower. The snow thrower is better than having to shovel, but not by much. The snow blower is much better than having to shovel, and it tackles the banks left by the plow a lot better than the snow thrower does.

Meantime, no one notices Ivan studying the book on Magic.
