Stupid rule, whether in pro or college. Let the players celebrate, that’s what the fans want to see. Nothing is duller than watching a player score, politely hand the ball to the ref, and then trot back to the bench. Let them spike it, wave to the crowd, do the shuffle, or pull a Sharpie out of their sock and autograph the ball before handing it to a fan.
