College athlete plays a “money” sport. Works his ass off. Makes beaucoup bucks for the college. Doesn’t get paid..College intern works for a large media corporation. Works his or her ass off. Makes beaucoup bucks for the corporation. Doesn’t get paid..Can someone explain to me precisely what the difference is?
Or the difference is that the college intern may suffer a paper cut and then graduate and work at a large media corporation whereas the athlete could suffer a career ending injury, lose their scholarship and then not graduate.
To JiminNYC – difference is college intern DONOT make beaucoup bucks for the corp. They may save a corp ten or twenty grand per year, but a college athlete make the college millions.About time Tank got on board with reality.
