@Tarred—-It was not only TV ads that were banned. ALL tobacco related advertising of any kind was banned. It included print & TV, & everything else. The tobacco companies could also not give out or sell any advertising related products—lighters, hats, T-shirts, etc. (other than their product packaging of course) with any of their logos or advertising on it. I still have some Marlboro items with their name & logo on it. Probably real collector items now.
