Beach volleyball might not be a sport but it IS fun to look at……..

From what I have seen, the famous beaches/ocean frontage in Rio have turned totally into a garbage dump with both physical garbage and smells in the air. I was last here 30 years ago, back when the beaches were pristine and the girls dressed in teeny tiny Bikinis. I assume there were also men dressed similarly in tiny suits, but don’t remember any.This visit, my takeaway is going to be that Rio has become a cesspool and aside from beach sweeping(which my small hometown on Michigans Gold Coast does twice a day to keep the tourists coming to the really clean beaches)they are doing nothing to stop the crap at its source. Are the sailors and swimmers really going out into that bay? You could not catch me anywhere near that, just because of the smell
