That looks like something my late mother would have done. She’d get these creative urges to decorate the entire house for whatever holiday came along, and of course, have an elaborate centerpiece on the dining room table – including, if memory serves me correctly, a cornucopia for Thanksgiving.

I actually had a friend come over late to a Super Bowl party. We had told the on-time arrivals that the decorative bread around the center piece was varnished and not to eat. About an half-hour later the late-comer was not feeling too well.
