not only Smith, but now his backup Colt McCoy suffered a broken leg as well….http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000995929/article/colt-mccoy-suffers-broken-leg-out-for-rest-of-season
Hideous? Unlike Theisman’s break, the bones weren’t sticking out. A buddy of mine had an identical injury from a water-ski jumping accident, leaving one bone protruding several inches. I had to hold his leg on, in the back of a station wagon, for the 45 minute ride to hospital. THAT was hideous. As dad was a WWII medic, I’m sure today’s vets can one-up that tale.
Theismann still has pain and has to take it easier at times. But, for a feel good story about a broken leg, an NBA player several years ago broke his leg so badly that there was talk of amputation. He would not let that happen. He worked himself back into shape and has done ok. That player is Shaun Livingston of the Golden State Warriors.

I’ve long believed that being a QB for the Washington Redskins was career ending move, but 2 QB’s breaking their legs in one season ?
Mark Sanchez has got to be a tad worried.
