One of the potentially greatest kickers, Russell Erxleben, completely fell apart when he got the money and fame after being drafted and living in New Orleans. He was a great punter and placekicker. He could have saved a team a spot on the roster by not needing two kickers. And he was kicking 50 yard field goals way before it became sort of common these days. Too bad he couldn’t handle all that fame and fortune.
