As he carries her away, Tarzan did not realize that Fawna had craftily handed him a vine that swings to connect with a network of other vines leading far, far away from Ughmat and his “kingdom”.

That vine is within easy reach of that trunk…..

Tarzan needs to grab a vine and then run around The Terror encircling the vine around its legs. That will trip it up.

How does he generate enough momentum from standing still to get the vine swinging?

With Bara, the fawn, under one arm and Fawna, the babe, under the other Tarzan swings off, and then lands flat on his face.
