My old cat, “Six,” was a wonderfully intelligent cat. Female and a one man cat. Smartest cat I ever knew with one possible exception.
Her only down side was her hatred of all other cats. When eventually other cats moved into the household (area strays we had to adopt or otherwise just let die) she was outraged. When one of the new arrivals had kittens, under the house we were living in, Six was out there trying desperately to get to those kittens so she could kill them.
Fortunately our Alpha Cat well knew what she was up to and he and the mother cat would spell each other in guarding the kittens from the feline would-be killer.
In many ways a wonderful old girl – but flawed. A lot like Pippi, I’d say.
