(Man: Your luggage is heavy" my redcap in Times told me. Which got me thinking: my luggage is like a peace process it's hard to carry but you need it to get where you are going!) At the Beirut airport gift shop: (WOT? Why isn't this made in the USA? Or lebanon?) 30 minutes later, yet another gem of op/ed gold is in the can. (That T-shirt should've been made in Lebanon. Why wasn't it? Well? Huh?!) But then- (Pack your bags, Tom- your book "The middle east is flat: Chats with tourist industry personnel" is #1 again!
