Down here in the States, we have a holiday in honor of cats. It’s called Labor Day (get it?). Here goes today’s homage to hard working cats everywhere.

A NEW Simon’s Cat is out!

Have a great holiday, if you live in the US. BBQ ribs, beans and watermelon for us. It’s a good day. All our babies are doing well and Willy continues to improve. Still a little problem with adjusting to one eye, but getting there.

Time to get the ribs rubbed down and resting before the smoke! One of those days I wish I were allowed to have a beer…but no matter, iced tea almost as good…(yeah right)

Hello, everyone, we`re back from the cabin. We had a wonderful time. Paul and his brothers renovated part of the cabin, cabinets were rehung and a good time was had by all.

@WhipslickaI got your message, glad you are home, will give you a call tomorrow.

We were told that every pet needs a pet, so we bought a coffee table/aquarium for the cats. One slept on it and that was it. Otherwise it was totally ignored. A visiting Great Dane, however, went crazy, head down to the ground, rear up in the air, tail whipping back and forth and racing around the table for what seemed like a half an hour. Cats, ho-hummed and left the room. Finally gave fish and table away.

@bbear, Great photos today! I especially like the cats on the loo, and the ones being taken for a walk. My late, great Babe had to be taken outside on a leash. If she saw a male cat, she’d chase him into the next county.

That’s in the backyard on a leash. We never let her out without one of us being with her.
