July 2 is:

World UFO Day

and National Anisette Day. I had to google that one. This is what it said. “Anisette is a colorless aniseed flavored beverage made from distilled spirit, along with sweetener. The contemptible taste or odor is compensated with the help of sugar or other sweetener so it has a high sugar content. It is generally restricted to a certain level due to the possibility of respiratory problems since it posses narcotic contents.”

What? they have a day to celebrate THAT? That’s not for me! I’ll just have to set up my telescope and look for UFO’s.

Darn it – my Lovebug is having problems AGAIN! I was afraid of losing her some months back when she started falling over and walking funny. She had a bad head tilt and I feared the worst – brain tumor – since that happened with my Heidi back in 1999. But the vet found an ear infection. I treated that, and she got better, but not 100% better. So I took her back to the vet and I got more ear medicine for her. Then she got feeling good and being a big pest again. Then my Dolly started acting sick, so I took her to the vet. I got medicine for her and had to take her back for a recheck 2 weeks later. While I was at the vet with Dolly on the followup visit, I took Lovebug for another check. This was just a couple weeks ago or so and the vet said her ears looked great – no sign of infection (Dolly is fine now, too). But I was noticing today that Lovebug is walking funny again – head tilt, leaning, nearly falling over, struggling to eat the canned food I gave the cats tonight to celebrate my vacation. All in all, she’s just not acting like herself. It looks like she’ll be going back to the vet. Lately it seems like I LIVE at the vet’s office.

Another kitty is getting a new home today.

It’s number 37 for us today. My mother said it would never last , that Brad would leave me when he wised up.One morning before we got married, I was taking him back to the base on North Island and asked him how long he was willing to put up with me. (I was annoying right from the start) He said only for 40 or 50 yrs, then he’d decide. Looks like 3 more years until the contract comes up or negotiations.

Last i saw, Trebek is on UFO.

Sweetheart, Kiki, Birds update.

Kiki decided to come out and check out the living room this morning. She just loves to watch my cat TV.

She decided to approach the birds at one point and Jack (Cockateel) started fussing and fluttering, and Kiki departed the living room in haste. :D

Right now she’s sitting on the arm of the couch on my right (watching the birds) and Sweetheart is on my left. Getting random rubs and scratches.

I’m happy. :)

Today Woof SPEAKS!!!!!! As time progressed he became the silent one. Also, only Woof and Jack Soames have googly or colored eyes. I do love how Graham (and/or Oliver) drores the cats and Annie nowadays….very attractively (except for Mr. Puddifoot’s big mouth).

My cats are were really interested when I was cleaning my anole’s cage today. I guess that makes them anole retentive. (Sorry, couldn’t resist.)
