Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
I burned my finger this morning, I thought the dishwasher was finished and went to get a dropped spoon… nope, somebody had opened it before it finished and the coil at the bottom was red hot.
Dang finger hurt all day. I kept it in a glass of cold water. It’s still swollen, but it stopped hurting. Dang!
They opened the Strip today, hordes of people and very very few wearing a mask. Keep it up and we’ll never get rid of this virus! You watch, we’re going to get a huge spike!
OT: My beloved Petey died on April 15th. He was 16 years and 9 months old and I miss him every day. I missed having a cat underfoot so much, that yesterday, I went to the shelter and adopted a little girl cat. Or rather she adopted me. I sat down in the cat room and she jumped on my lap. And growled at the other cats who approached me. Her shelter name was Siesta, Hubby and I have changed it to Katie. So far, she has done a lot of exploring, all three levels of the house. She’s friendly, bossy and has taken over our lives in one short day. She is a gray with white markings long hair girl. Will take photos soon.
I took a stray to the shelter to get neutered several years ago. He escaped his cage and wrecked havoc in the waiting room, including knocking a potted plant to the floor, breaking the container and spilling dirt everywhere. It had taken me nearly a year to catch him, although he regularly came close for his food.
Even today, I retain the childhood image of a veterinarian’s office. Surely, a “vet” would have a big American flag and crossed rifles on the wall.
My SIL, the awesome small animal vet, pulls out her protective gloves and a towel and says, “Let me handle this, you cowards.” Vets and vet techs, despite cartoons to the contrary, who can’t handle a difficult small animal wouldn’t be in business very long.
This is a scene similar to our vet’s office, when our old girl goes in. She’s just turned 17 and has built up quite a reputation over the years. <3, <3. :D
A few years back Bucky was at the vet’s for his vaccinations. She had one of the nurses come in and hold him, though he’s really never any trouble. She looked over and told the nurse, ’He’s weird’. She knows him well.
Total chaos at the vet’s! Pandemonium and terror! These people know Chesney all too well. On another note, saw a little baby rabbit, a robin, a squirrel, and two juncos while out walking today.

Not a good start. I wonder what happened in the past to cause such a reaction.

All that glue for nothing? Hmmm a nice tranquilizer might work….if the Vet takes one before The Orange Menace gets there!

I wonder if the clinic is thrown into a panic every time an orange cat is seen, whether or not it is Chesney.
