Hard to argue with what Annie said.

Looks like I’ll be working non stop until spring. I had a few hundred branching sunflower plants sprout up all over the yard and I cannot believe how much work it is to get them out now that they are all dried and the goldfinches are finished with the seeds. Some were a good 12 feet tall and are all are tangled with each other. They get caught ins my hair, I have fallen trying to pull them apart and have huge scratches everywhere. They are the plants from hell, and I must get them out so I can dig and pull the shorter weedy plants before turning over the soil, all in a plot about 40 × 70. They looked so innocent when they were only a few inches high and were showstopingly beautiful this summer, but next year they are confined to the back of the wall!

Chesney will probably strike out and wind up on the loading dock. On another note, saw eleven juncos while out walking today. Later, I went into town and got a flu shot. (Don’t worry, I wore a mask.) Having the flu is no fun.
