Ten Cats by Graham Harrop for March 20, 2025

I’m starting some vegetable seeds under a grow light. So far, I’ve just planted eggplant (something I never grew before) and 4 varieties of tomatoes (cherry tomatoes, Early Girl, Big Boy and Beefsteak). So far, I have 30 tomato plants coming up, which have just come up over the past 2 days. I have 2 plants coming up in the eggplant packs, but I think they’re actually tomatoes. I’ll know for sure when they get their first set of “true” leaves. Anyway, I will be keeping some tomato plants for my garden and I will sell the rest in our break room at work to help raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network. I’ll do the same with the eggplants if the darn things ever come up. Maybe I should plant peppers and sell those plants too. Around the middle of April, I’ll plant some of my leftover green bean seeds from last year into some of those 4-pack things and I’ll sell those at work, too. I usually sell my extra garden produce at work for CMN too, but last year’s garden was a big flop. I’m hopeful I’ll do better this year and that I will have produce to sell at work. Too bad though that 3 of my regular plant and produce buyers retired over the past few months.
