One of my cats does this. I believe she hopes I will renew the game of rip-the-liner-to-shreds that she played with me when she was a kitten. Liners are cheap but she just got too serious about winning.

On TikTok there is a wildlife rehabilitator. Last year she had a baby beaver. She filmed herself finding him doing the exact same thing, except he was standing on his hind legs. I’ve always wondered what he thought he was doing. It looked like he really was just hiding from her. He had a sheepish look on his face when she found him.

I hope this doesn’t result in a rip in the “fabric” of the Space/Time Continuum!

Just let him be, Angie.
