I hope Mittens never watches Hitchcock’s “The Birds”. That would definitely solidify a phobia!

Sometimes they really are coming to get ya, Mittens.

I had a partially glassed-in balcony. When a bird slammed into the glass, Kirby would go out and check whether it was on the inside or the outside.

We put up silhouettes of raptors on the windows of our campus halls to keep birds from crashing into them.

When I was a child, our cat was so terrorized by the blue jays that he would never cross the yard. He just slunk around in the bushes where they couldn’t get at him.

Blue jays are the worst.

I was sitting on my deck where I could watch (from a distance) a nest of Blue Jays. One of the parents whapped me on the back of my head even though I was far from the nest. Needed a Tylenol after that. Blue Jays are evil!
