Jenifry leaned against the boat seductively, trying to get Locrynâs attention, but he was somehow drawn to Bersaba, who was sitting on a basket of crushed lemons.
In his boat heâd been fishing all day, / facing gale winds, high seas, and salt spray. / But his small, paltry catch / couldnât come close to match / what he saw at the beach on display. /// The waves, with a hurricane roar / had beached hundreds of fish on the shore. / By a cruel twist of fate / his dayâs haul looked like bait, / and thatâs when, like a sailor, he swore.
At a fish sale on a Cornish beach, / lady fishmongers were forced to teach, / when asked by certain men / for some Cornish game hen. / âChicken of the Seaâs not that!â theyâd screech.

Stanhope must have had quite the agenda if he wanted to set his easel up in the middle of a beach full of rotting, smelling fish guts.
