I guess I should go out and buy some Mary Janes or popcorn balls for the kiddies. But since I hated those as a kid (and still do) I would feel bad inflicting those horrible so-called treats on them.

These days most homemade treats get thrown away for safety reasons. Very sad.

I did that when I was married. My ex hates anything with nuts, coconuts, or peanut butter, so I would by candy and ice cream with those ingredients so she wouldn’t eat them.
