I worked for a company many years ago, a new guy they hired made a mistake and the company paid around 15k for it. When people asked the boss if he was going to fire the new person he said “No I just spend 15k training him, he’ll never make that mistake again”
Now I’ve heard other stories to this effect over the years, but I really wonder if someone would keep a employee like this if the mistake was much higher.
