I just started a new pair of work boots. They are a bit big. Mens 10 1/2 W. I usually wear womans 9 W. I’m sure I’ll grow into them.

Nice comeback.

At that age you will wear them out before you grew into them.

Too bad “Payless Shoesource” went out of business.

I didn’t start growing until i hit seventh grade. Went thru three shoes sizes during the school year.

Not yet, Wilberforce, but maybe someday….

The boy’s got a good point.

If you want to become a politician you need to go to clown college.

Ringling Bros. closed down their college but there are still institutions extant to preserve this venerable art/profession.

I fail to see the humor here.

When I was a kid we’d get new jeans at the start of school we’d have to roll up ½ way to our knees (and not for ‘style’)

I used to hate school shoe shopping. While everyone else wore sneakers (Red Ball Jets, PF Flyers, Converse All Stars or Keds), my parents who were older and particularly my Dad x-Navy insisted on leather shoes that I had to keep polished to a glossy shine. Part of it was because I had AAA width feet, but tell that to a 10 year old.

As little “practical” knowledge that is taught in Grammer and High School, the kid may as well attend College. There he can learn the important skills: Drinking, Partying, Random Sex, Shooting Up.

Chances are he will have grown into them before the school year is over, if they last that long.

Could happen.

If the shoe fits kiddo.

Shoes that fit are the single most important thing you can have for long-term bodily health. It took me years to find size 13 9E-width shoes – changed my life.

Always went to school in my sneakers . But I was a young Italian rebel in the early 1970s . No comment on my way of dressing .

I hate having to find the right shoes, it takes too much time.
