Cool references to the Hardy Boys. Hope Franklin finds the Tower Treasure. But I don’t remember a Willie. Named after Franklin’s middle name Franklin W Dixon perhaps? Although the W didn’t stand for anything.
Had a family in Church with a child suffering Down Syndrome. They thanked God everyday for that child. Who didn’t know how to lie or steal or smoke or drink. Just give love back. Wilberforce is blessed and so are Gladys and Brutus.
uh, probably just coincidence, but the first Hardy Boys book was ‘The Tower Treaure’ …the tower was in the old Applegate place, and the credited author was Franklin W. Dixon.

So if this guy is moving into the old Applegate place, would it be correct to presume the Applegates will be moving into the “new” Applegate place?

With the way my mind works my wife swears that I’m 70 going on 16. Then I tell her that it’s her fault because she’s still gorgeous.

growing backwards is he… I feel the same actually and it’s kinda annoying, especially when I’m told I can’t do that anymore… sigh.

Gladys and Brutus should thank God they have a son like Wilber, regardless of his age.

Nice Hardy Boys reference! Gotta feel for a boy or girl – or adult – who can’t enjoy the beauty of the moment.

Seems like a nice guy. The two kids are about the same age and should hit it off well. No need to rush growing up. Got plenty of time for that……

Gladys and Kewpie say Brutus is forty, going on seven.

Well, Brutus’ comment seem to stun the guy?

Poor Brutus, he is 10, going on 10, hoping to not regress back to 9.

Brutus was being very socially adept up until the last sentence! If he were my neighbor, I would have laughed and figured I found a new friend.

Kewpie isn’t noticed much. I suspect he is the one good member of the community.

I haven’t let “The Hardy Boys” references get past me. Probably the last one alive in the USA.

It is noteworthy that Brutus is much older than the newcomer yet they both men have eight-year-old boys. Brutus must have been a slow starter.

Franklin W. Dixon was a pseudonym for many authors who came up with the “Hardy Boys” mysteries.
