It’s all being done online, now…

Oh! And here I thought it’s because of the pandemic.

If they really want returns they should offer curb service like they did for purchases.

In a “normal” year they sell as much if not more on the 26th than they do on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

I remember long lines at the return desk at K-Mart ! (Yes, I am that old)!

And they never returned, no they never returned.

I’ve never returned or exchanged a gift. It was a gift. If I don’t like it, or it won’t fit, I keep it anyway, and perhaps “re-gift” it after a decent interval. Or give it to a church sale or something.

But apparently that’s not the usual thing.

On my way out the door right now, straks tilbake!

Mr. Macy would not be happy if this actually happened. Neither would the employees who would find themselves out of work.

The real miracle in the film is that Macy’s is being run by Mr. R.H. Macy when the real R.H. Macy had died in 1877 and the Macy family had also sold their last interest in the store by 1895.

I guess that depends on what you call miracle.

And suddenly it dawned on them – no one had unlocked the front doors.

Stores like Walmart offer to exchange or refund online purchases in their physical stores which are filled with sales items to exhange for. It’s one of their ways to make them more attractive than Amazon to buyers.

No? Well most of us simply mail them back to Amazon. Hopefully they get back to China intact.

Folks are still recovering from all the eggnog.
