In this politically correct world I don’t think the coach is allowed to do that anymore. Recently during a minor league hockey game a coach restrained one of his players from jumping on the ice to participate in a brawl by grabbing him and pulling him backwards. The kids parents filed a complaint and the coach was reprimanded and suspended. By the way if the coach hadn’t intervened the kid would have been ejected from the game and suspended for the rest of the season.
