Parents often share entertaining stories about their teenage kids with me. Most of the stories revolve around the transitional stage of life when a young person’s assumptions run smack into oncoming reality. I imagine we all feel we did pretty well navigating those tricky turns, but I also imagine we’re all pretty careful not to ask our parents how brilliant we were doing it.
