PETA took it away from the cow.

Hmmm … Well, the cow generously donated part of herself, so we could eat.

For that I have no idea.

But dad, how do you tell when the cow is ripe? Do they change color or something? ~ Bobby Hill

Steaks come on styrofoam trays wrapped in cellophane. They’re in the supermarket. I see them there all the time.

All cows are “she”, Eddie. They are all female.   (And delicious! And so are male bovines.)  I like how there’s food flying all around Toby. He’s an animal on the table.

I miss the pink slime.

I once held up a piece of cow just like Toby is doing in Panel One.My question was, “What is this MADE of?”

My dad handled the question with ONE WORD: “protein.”

Didn’t really answer my question, but ended the discussion and got me to thinking of more questions.
