Science fiction movies are also scary and dystopian and dark. We need a good, long movie where the future is good, and people are happy! Nobody mutating or being shot or explosions! Just two hours of guys like us, hangin' out... Textin'... Eatin' pizza... Good living. Y'know what? If the real future is cruddy enough, they'll make that movie. We can hope.

They want an extended episode of Season 1 of Star Trek: The Next Generation.I think Star Trek: Generations is “cuddly” enough, but not Nemesis or First Contact.
