Some philosopher said that which does not kill us makes us stronger. Isn't he dead, now? Well, yeah. But obviously he was really strong by the time he died.
Book Un-Recommendation: A few months ago I read “Thus Spake Zarathustra”. A major waste of time. It confirmed my long-time impression that as a philosopher Nietzsche was an okay poet, but only in the original German.
In P.G. Wodehouse’s novels, Jeeves refers to Nietzsche as ‘fundamentally unsound." and leaves it at that. I think it would have been fun for him to have given us Wooster’s take on him.
