Sometimes it requires a pound of the cure to appreciate the ounce of prevention.

I think that if those socks are inside-out after one wearing, they would become right-side-out after the second wearing. Therefore they would be correct every other time.

My foster mom was a bizarre mix of OCD and bipolar. There were so many “rules” to laundry, it drove me nuts. As soon as I was tall enough to reach the inside of the washer, I got laundry as a chore, but the rules were still enforced. I got grounded too many times to count for not folding things correctly, not separating correctly, not noticing that it was time to do laundry, using more laundry soap than necessary (it went faster than it should have), not unfurling my parent’s socks before washing, failing to strip beds on schedule, failing to pretreat/check for stains, washing delicates that were accidentally thrown down the chute, failing to check pockets, and keeping a dollar deliberately left in a pocket to test my honesty. The day I moved out and could do laundry without fear was a glorious day indeed.

I have come to the realization – that getting a little OCD on some things is a way to control the things we can control. No matter how crazy we may look or sound. I don’t like people wanting to ‘help’ me get my stuff out of the dryer. They don’t fold, they don’t even shake the clothes out to reduce wrinkles. All they want is the dryer and their ‘helpfulness’ is just a ‘nice’ way of being rude and thinking their time is more important than my time.oh my, that was a rant. I really do need to have my own place with my own washer & dryer. lol

She should be grateful if she can find all the socks when folding clothes.

Starting about five to ten years ago, I suddenly noticed that every pair of socks I bought, no matter the manufacturer, recommended turning socks inside out to wash them.

Eating a full bowl of “Muslix” was considered half a bowl too full of a full bowl full.

Socks are far more comfortable inside-out anyway. What idiot designed them with the seams on the inside?
