What about gold panning? Can we do that in Alaska? Sure. What? We can? Yep. Got reservations at a place to pan for gold. What happens if I find a huge gold nugget?! Keep it? Sell it? Your choice. I found a way to motivate the kids about our trip. Is it the reason they're sitting on their luggage outside, with a shovel and some plates?

We went panning when we were on vacation in Alaska.
It was a blast, the nature around us was breathtaking. We never found gold but the memories are still there even with my now 14 year old.
