Have to admit the only time I ever pay any attention to the credits is at the end of Marvel movies, and that’s just because I’m waiting for the after-credits scene
The worse job is in the production office where they compile the credits. They have to get sublists from all the other companies that worked on the film and make sure no one gets left out.
That’s the joy of the industry. Cheerios got a credit in the Superman movie. Almost ended up a gaffer’s best boy. My 90+ yo mother was an extra (cause they need old ladies) She was SAG accepted if she had ever had to speak.
Nope – just a file from HR – as all those people had to get paid. Probably no more than a day (if that) to manipulate them into position, adjust the font size and type and add any special effects.

True. And that’s a lot of power. You can misspell everyone else’s.

There’s lots of poor saps that have to listen very carefully for their name to be called if something is needed!

I had to do stuff close enough to that. it’s not glamorous but it’s a job and not a pain. just takes time.

I like to watch the names scroll by so I can try to spot the fake ones. “Terry Gilliam?” HAW! Fake name….

He didn’t get credit for it.
I can just see it now as they scroll through to the end of the credits and you get to, ‘and me, the poor sap they hired to type the names’.

Don’t forget it also includes the names of the people who had previously been in charge of writing the credits but got sacked.
