Way back in my college days, I lived in a basement apartment. One day I went upstairs and watched As The Stomach Turns or some such soap opera with the upstairs residents and others from church. Two weeks later, I went back up and watched again. It was like I hadn’t missed a thing, the story wasn’t progressing very rapidly. ;)

My first girlfriend would watch a show about luke and laura, something about a weather machine taking over the world. 20 years later I happened across a soap, it was luke and laura and they were still worried about the weather machine.
